Former Yankee and current Phillies center fielder Marlon Byrd visits with Yankees

Over the Thanksgiving holidays, former Yankee great and current Philadelphia Phillies center fielder Marlon Byrd spent the afternoon visiting with the Yankees during some of their winter workouts.  Byrd spent several hours talking baseball, going over hitting drills used by he and his fellow major leaguers, as well as answering questions about his life in baseball and some of the inside scoop of what goes on in the life of a major league rookie.  This is the 3rd winter that Marlon has taken time from his holiday visit with his family to spend several hours with the team.  Former Yankees Jeremy Hermida and Scott White were also there to visit with Marlon, who has become one of their friends and supporters over the past few seasons after working with them in the past.  Byrd currently lives in San Diego, where he works out in the off season with Tony Gwynn, and brought many of Gwynn's drills, tips, and ideas to the Yankees workout.
